The Chevrolet infotainment system features a 7-inch diagonal color touch-screen as standard on most trim levels with the option to upgrade to an 8-inch screen with a more robust software package. Chevy’s MyLink Infotainment 3 software includes smartphone connectivity via Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Bluetooth. Keyless open and start is standard on all trim levels.

Other technology touches included in the Equinox include USB Type-A and Type-C ports, an auxiliary input jack, SD card reader, and two Type-A charge-only ports. The infotainment system can be turned into a Wi-Fi hotspot for up to seven devices, and wireless charging is available on the Premier trim level. All trim levels feature a 12-volt power outlet in the front storage bin and rear cargo section, and a 120-volt outlet on the rear of the center console.

All trim levels feature 63.9 cubic feet of storage space when the rear seats are folded down, and 29.9 cubic square feet when the rear seats are upright. A power liftgate and hands-free power liftgate are available as options, with a manual liftgate coming as standard.

Performance That Powers Through Anything

All trim levels of the 2022 Chevy Equinox come equipped with the same engine that consists of a 1.5-liter turbocharged DOHC V-4 with variable valve timing, direct injection, and an automatic start/stop for fuel economy. The engine develops 170 horsepower at 5600 rpm and 203 lb-ft of torque between 2,000 and 4,000 rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission with electronic control, overdrive and driver shift control. The EPA-estimated gas mileage for the 2022 Chevrolet Equinox is 26 mpg city/31 mpg highway.

The 2022 Equinox comes in FWD and AWD with the AWD featuring an on/off switch available as an option. It comes with 17-inch wheels as standard, with 18-inch and 19-inch wheels available as an option on some trim levels. StabiliTrak electronic stability control system with traction control and hill start assist comes as standard on all trim levels.
